Aurora Film
Anadinath Bose established the Aurora Film Company in 1906 in the then Calcutta. Initially it was a traveling cinema unit, exhibited films, magic and drama shows, made short silent films, newsreels and imported films from abroad. In 1911, Anadinath Bose, cinematographer Debi Ghosh, and magician Charu Ghosh formed the Aurora Cinema Company, opening a studio and film-processing laboratory in. Anadinath Bose assumed sole management of the company in 1912. In 1921 Anadinath Bose renamed his company Aurora Film Corporation. He was a visionary and the leading force behind the formation of the Bengali Film Industry. His successor, Ajit Bose produced and distributed films of maestros like Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, Mrinal Sen that shaped the Golden Era of Bengali Cinema. The third generation leader, Anjan Bose is carrying forward the legacy with the vision to create a new era of Indian cinema and gear it to its peak and excellence in the global milieu.
